What is a moisture buffer?

Producing panels with water based glues means that the process of making a sandwich has to deal with a water component.

In the applications in packaging, doors and furniture the materials involved are fibre based and normally sensitive to moisture. Moisture can influence the materials and theirs properties.
Water is needed to transport the glue into the sandwich components.

Axxor designs its honeycomb type based on your expanding facility and your process parameters to allow storing the excess water that may occur during the process of panel making.
The paper will be able to absorb the water quantity and release it later again smoothly without causing excessive growth in the decks.
This avoids that the water has a too great infuence on the stability of the deck.
